Zero data collection — by design.
AlwaysAmoeba collects nothing. No accounts required, no analytics, no trackers. Everything happens on your device and stays there.
AlwaysAmoeba does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data of any kind.
The extension operates entirely on your local device. No information ever leaves it.
None. We do not collect personal information, browsing history, tab content, URLs, keystrokes, form data, or any other information about you or your activity.
The extension reads the active tab's hostname solely to display it inside the extension popup. This value is never stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere.
AlwaysAmoeba only asks for what it needs to do its job — nothing more.
It needs access to all websites so it can protect every tab you open. It saves your on/off switch setting so your preference is remembered after you close Chrome. It reads the website name of your current tab only to show it inside the popup — that information never goes anywhere. Nothing about your browsing is recorded or sent to us.
There are no analytics services, crash reporters, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs of any kind embedded in this extension.
No data is shared with any third party because no data is collected in the first place.
The extension may store your toggle preference (enabled / disabled) in Chrome's local storage API so your setting persists across browser restarts. This preference never leaves your device.
If we ever change how data is handled, this page will be updated and the date at the top will reflect the revision. We will not reduce your privacy rights without clear notice.
